Did I Just Say That?
I worked for a grain company several years ago and always saw the grain elevator foreman dressed in overalls. The foreman came to the office to visit after retirement. I walked in, saw him sitting there talking with the yard guys when out of my mouth came, “Rodie, I’ve never seen you with clothes on!”

Wow, did the guys ever crack up over that one! What I meant was that I had never seen him in street clothes, only overalls. Of course it was too late to offer that explanation.

Liar, Liar, Pants on ... No, really!
A few years ago I caught my pants on fire when a match and coin rubbed together in my pocket!! I felt the burn, and looked down and thought that the condensation from my steaming food had dropped on my leg. It was actually smoke! I jumped up and squealed, “I’m on fire!” Although I only suffered a minor burn, I endured major humiliation from my coworkers!
